Chuck Yeager's good friend Jacqueline Cochran worked diligently to see that Yeager was suitably rewarded for his contributions to the science of Flight  Testing. Finally, in 1976 Yeager was awarded a special Peacetime Congressional Medal of Honor by then President Gerald Ford. Dual autographs of Yeager and Ford are framed with a copy of the official photo of the presentation.
