Grover Loening is best remembered for his Company's innovative amphibian designs in the 1920s and 30s, but in addition to his design talents Mr. Loening was highly valued as a consultant. In addition to numerous aviation industry positions he served on the Maritime Commission, the WW II War Production Board, N.A.C.A., and the Advisory Board of the National Air Museum (later the National Air & Space Museum). During his career Loening received a number of prestigious awards including the Collier Trophy, the Wright Memorial Trophy, the  Air Force Medal and the Guggenheim Medal. This Aviation Pioneer's autograph appears here as a signed letter on War Production Board letterhead dated 1944. Framed with a photo of Loening circa 1920s.
